The Last Day is a novel about the last day of U.S. Army Sniper Warren Harlan Pease, which he spends traveling around the New Hampshire seacoast with Jesus. Not your typical religious allegory, The Last Day is a challenging look at the U.S. war in Iraq, traditional religion, and how we live here on earth each day. A poignant testament to the true cost of war.
Landis, a resident of Exeter, is a former editor-in-chief at William Morrow & Company and the author of several novels, including Longing and Lying in Bed, and a book of children's poetry, Cars on Mars.
