Water Street Bookstore is pleased to announce that we are hosting Anthony Flint, author of the new book, Wrestling With Moses: How Jane Jacobs Took on New York's Master Builder and Transformed the American City, on Friday, September 25th at 7pm. Flint is the director of public affairs at the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, a think tank on land and development issues in Cambridge, MA. He was a reporter for the Boston Globe for sixteen years and is the author of This Land: The Battle Over Sprawl and the Future of America. Wrestling With Moses is a history lesson with contemporary significance. Jane Jacobs inspired people across the country to change the way they think about cities, and to fight against the development and destruction of their own urban centers. Concerned about Wal-Mart popping up in Exeter? Despair over meadows torn apart for sub-divisions? This is the conversation for you. Please come; ask your questions and add your voice. | 26
