Nancy Frye Bergeron is a New Hampshire native who has lived near the seacoast most of her life and she has recently released her first book, The Postmaster's Cottage - One Year's Journey. She works in the finance department of a local business and has varied interests. Writing became a new passion at the half century mark in her life with short stories coming to mind while taking daily walks along the seacoast. Poetry became another avenue of expression to share experiences of life and nature. She and her husband James, of forty years, raised one daughter, Wendy, who is a local history teacher and curator of The American Independence Museum in Exeter, NH.

Restoring the Postmaster’s Cottage – One Year’s Journey relates the unfolding of events that took place during a memorable year. Bergeron and her husband purchase a “fixer upper” cottage at the historical Hedding Campground in Epping, NH but their restoration efforts are interrupted by life. They are faced with their daughter’s sudden life-threatening illness and the announcement of Bergeron’s brother’s terminal cancer diagnosis. Follow the journey as Bergeron and her husband Jim use the hard restoration work as therapy for dealing with these two life events. Humor plays a role as the two new cottage owners deal with plumbing issues and other surprises.

Bergeron is currently working on her next two books, a biographical novel about her maternal grandmother Norine and a book of profiles on New England Elders.
