Quiet: What's on the Other Side of Silence
Introversion is more than just not talking.
Everyone's talking about Susan Cain's Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking. Fortune says Quiet "...should be required reading for introverts (or their parents) who could use a boost to their self-esteem."
But is there more to the story than just talking or not talking? Mollie Allen, an educator, life coach, and consultant with 25 years experience as a master practitioner of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, believes there is more to the story. She will be joining us to talk about Susan Cain's book Quiet, as well as the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, and what it really means to be an introvert or extrovert.
Mollie Allen, M.Ed. has spoken at international conferences and is the lead author of a training manual for professionals called Discovering Type With Teens, a how to guide on introducing type to teens. Allen, a local resident, is a member of the professional organization APTi. She successfully raised four very different children with the insight gained from her knowledge of personality type.
