Please join us in celebrating the tenure of Elizabethe Plante, manager of Water Street Bookstore for the past seven years. Elizabethe has recently moved on to her next great adventure, and we want to wish her the best, and take the opportunity to look back at everything she accomplished while manager of Water Street Bookstore.

Elizabethe was a vocal and enthusiastic supporter of literacy, social justice causes around the world, and women writers. She worked with the local Three Cups of Tea project Passport to Peace to spread the mission of Greg Mortenson and started a reading list featuring women writers from around the world called Voices of the World's Women. She enthusiastically recommended her favorite books to customers, especially children. She placed The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, Charlotte's Web, and The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian into the hands of many, many children.
