He finds himself being lifted in a metal box, and when the box opens, he is surrounded by other boys his age. Slowly he learns that they are stuck in the center of a maze, and that solving it is the only way out. Part Lord of the Flies, part Orwell, part fascinating mystery/thriller, with a little romance thrown in too. Addictive.

Love, romance and werewolves. Twilight fans will love this coming-of-age, star-crossed-lovers story. Grace is uninspired by her teenage life of high school and neglectful parents. She longs only for Sam, the wolf with human eyes, who saved her from from a deadly attack, when she was a young girl. Sam is a werewolf on the brink of losing his human side. The two have precious moments to share.

This story is enchanting and picturesque. It is an enjoyable read with substance and style.

Cassandra Clare creates a story that could be living upon us today. Mixed in with our everyday lives there are demons, demon slayers, fairies, and of course, vampires. We don't see them because we don't have that special eye, but when you read this book you see the world through a different lens, you can see the hidden world right in front of us. Yet these people are like us. They laugh and love and go to work everyday, even if their job is killing demons.

With a twisted love story and enough excitement to keep you turning the pages this series has something for all. When I finally finished with it I felt like I lost a friend. This series is truly one of my favorites!
