What happened to Google eBooks?
We know, we know. Just a few years ago, we told you that partnering with Google to sell Google eBooks was the best thing ever. Turns out, Google wasn't such a great partner. Our trade organization, the American Booksellers Association (ABA), has been spending the last year searching for a better, stronger partner for us. Having worked with Google, the ABA knew what to look for in an eBook partner. And that's why we know that partnering with Kobo is the right choice.
What about the Google eBooks already in my library on my device?
You will continue to be able to access them via your Google account. However, the IndieBound Reader app was designed specifically to interface with Google eBooks and will no longer be supported after January 2013. If desired, you can load your Google eBooks to a new Kobo device using Adobe Digital Editions.
Please see the video at the following address, produced by Google, for a step-by-step guide to transferring your Google eBooks to your new Kobo eReader. Video URL: http://youtu.be/J3z29b7en14
