Join us for the Ferguson Reading, our monthly open mic poetry night. November's featured poet is Paul Marion, author of most recently Union River: Poems and Sketches. After the featured poet, the floor is open for readers. Please bring 1 or 2 poems to share.
Paul Marion is the author of UNION RIVER: POEMS AND SKETCHES (Bootstrap Press, 2017), a lyrical American address covering 40 years of writing. Canadian reviewer Michael Dennis had this to say: "Very impressed with the passionate voice of Paul Marion and reasonable speech of his sound and hearty UNION RIVER. This is mature poetry and flawless storytelling from a first-rate poet." Marion's other books include MILL POWER (Rowman & Littlefield, 2014) documenting the innovative national park in historic Lowell, Mass., and the city's renaissance and his edited collection ATOP AN UNDERWOOD: EARLY STORIES AND OTHER WRITINGS by Jack Kerouac (Viking/Penguin).
