This is one of those books that you won't need a bookmark for-- you'll read it in one sitting!

Thomas wakes up with no memory of who he is or where he is from. All he knows is his name. He finds himself being lifted in a metal box, and when the box opens, he is surrounded by other boys his age. Slowly he learns that they are stuck in the center of a maze, and that solving it is the only way out. Part Lord of the Flies, part Orwell, part fascinating mystery/thriller, with a little romance thrown in too. Addictive.

Love, romance and werewolves. Twilight fans will love this coming-of-age, star-crossed-lovers story. Grace is uninspired by her teenage life of high school and neglectful parents. She longs only for Sam, the wolf with human eyes, who saved her from from a deadly attack, when she was a young girl. Sam is a werewolf on the brink of losing his human side. The two have precious moments to share.

This story is enchanting and picturesque. It is an enjoyable read with substance and style.

Inspired by Catcher in the Rye, this book focuses on themes of introversion, teenage sexuality, awkwardness, abuse, and drug abuse, as well as the newly realized freedoms of a young teenager.

Charlie, our protagonist, is a kind-hearted, unpopular, bright, often confused, unconventional thinker. Written in a series of letters, this book follows Charlie's turbulent freshman year of high school.

A soulful read, sure to leave a thoughtful aftertaste.

Miranda is a 16 year old New Yorker who is good at science, logical thinking and rational observances.

However, when she travels to Selkie Island with her mother to organize and close the family estate left to them by her grandmother, she finds that the folklore of the island, the whispered warnings of Sirens Beach and the intrigue of the locals is too hard to resist.

Sea Change is a mystical romance, a lesson in misguided assumptions and a great read for the summer.

Published: Bloomsbury Publishing PLC - June 8th, 2010

This book is good! I picked it up and read it in one sitting. The characters are real, Emma is immensely likeable, Bennett is beyond charming and Natalie is a girl's worst nightmare!

But beyond the everyday teenage angst lies a deeper concern for Emma...she sees ghosts. And some of them are downright evil. As Emma comes to realize the truth about her family, her friends and herself she also comes to realize just how unique she is, and so do those around her.

This is going to be a good series...

Published: Speak - February 23rd, 2010

This novel is written in poems that are thoughtful, carefully constructed, and full of specific detail and pulsing emotion.

Anke is in 9th grade. She makes the volleyball team and begins to gain some confidence. No matter how hard she hits the ball though, she can't seem to say anything against her father--a man who verbally, physically, and sexually abuses her siblings, but not her.

Real characters, a heartbreaking story, with a truly strong and redemptive ending. Some tough content, but okay for mature readers. Great for teens, parents, teachers, counselors. Perfect for readers and non-readers alike.

Cassandra Clare creates a story that could be living upon us today. Mixed in with our everyday lives there are demons, demon slayers, fairies, and of course, vampires. We don't see them because we don't have that special eye, but when you read this book you see the world through a different lens, you can see the hidden world right in front of us. Yet these people are like us. They laugh and love and go to work everyday, even if their job is killing demons.

With a twisted love story and enough excitement to keep you turning the pages this series has something for all. When I finally finished with it I felt like I lost a friend. This series is truly one of my favorites!
